Coach Says: Jamil was a key part of both our offensive and defensive lines. In addition to his stats from last year, he ate up a lot of double teams and did a great job not allowing linemen to get to our linebackers. He will need to anchor our OL and DL this season as well!
Why do you play football?
I play football because it’s something bigger than myself. It helps me build connections with people and helps me become a better person
Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?
Jayson Tatum is probably my favorite sports star. His game throughout the years is consistently elevating and he showed great perseverance with injuries
Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:
Getting my first strip sack against Garden Spot this past season. It was our first win of the season and very memorable
What was your toughest game in 2025 season?
I would say Solanco was our Tuffest game. They are a really tough team
What are your goals for this coming season?
To take a bigger step up from last season while also trying to be a good leader for the younger guys coming up
Who is the best player you ever lined up against?
Hunter fry, he’s strong and also a great wrestler
What does the word “Coach” mean to you?
It means someone who is there to build you up not just as a player but as a person.
What is your favorite season of the year?
Fall

It keeps you active while also making great connections like making new friends and meeting new people. It also teaches you leadership

I don’t really have anyone in mind. I’d love to line up against anyone

What is your favorite practice drill? What is your least favorite practice drill?
Favorite is Any live defensive drill just to go and hit someone, least favorite is blitz period
What school sport that you do not play in have you supported?
I like to go watch the men’s basketball games whenever I can
If you were to inherit 1 billion dollars what’s the first thing you’d do?
Invest
When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?
I love hiking with my family, we usually like to go on biking trails just as a family bonding experience
