Coach Says: Had a solid year kicking for us and hit the game winner against Wilson for the section Championship. I will give him the link
Why do you play football?
To be a part of something bigger than myself and for the major benefits it has with it. I have a team full of brothers I can count on and who will have my back. We are a brotherhood and we always stand together.
It’s gameday! What are you looking forward to the most?
Being there with my guys and hearing the town cheering in the stands.
Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?
Cam Little. He came in and showed that young kickers can make a huge impact.
Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:
On kickoff against I believe Reading when the returner fumbled and we scored on our own kickoff. It was electric running down there and celebrating with my guys.
What was last years season like for you?
A challenge. I was stepping up to fill a huge role as the starting kicker as just a junior and it was nerve racking for sure. I had my moments when that freshness got to me but I learned to manage it well.
What are your goals for this coming season?
To go perfect on all PATs and Field goals and to help lead our team to success. I also want to get even closer with my teammates because at the end of the day we are a family and we have to stay close.
Who is the best player you ever lined up against?
Elias Coke. He was one of the returners in kickoff and coach had me kick away from him to stunt their return.
When the game is on the line, which college/professional coach would you like to call in the play?
Curt Cignetti. I loved how he ran Indiana last year with that drive for greatness and success.
What stadium, HS/college/pro would you love to visit for a game?
I’d love to go to a bunch but seeing the FSU war chant would be awesome. I’d love to see so many but that tops it for me.
What is your favorite Pro team, any sport?
The Baltimore ravens. I’m originally from Maryland and my family still lives down there.
What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?
The Wilson section championship last year. I got to contribute a lot and it was awesome to help the team as much as I did.
What sports movie would you watch every day if you had to pick one and why?
Greater. It’s an amazing more with an amazing story. My second would be Coach Carter because the message is awsome.
If your mom and dad are screaming at you from the stands, what is it they usually yell?
My mom would cheer my name and my dad would be yelling to kick it straight.
Name one thing that you’d love to do in football that may never happen?
Score an amazing touchdown like game winner, fade ball, on top of the DBs head. It even just kicking a game winner would be awesome.
Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like? WHY?
My sister. She played division one field hockey and is currently a labor and delivery nurse. She has an awesome life and is super smart.
Name a sport you’d love to play but can’t:
Lacrosse, it seems so much fun but also so expensive and can last a long time taking away time from school.
What is your most embarrassing sports moment?
My sophomore year I banged a 21 yarder off the right upright. It was super loud and I didn’t even make it.
If you could only drive one car for the rest of your life, what would it be?
A 2026 Corvette ZR1 with the track bundle on it. It’s an awesome car and not too expensive. Or just a regular old Lamborghini would be cool. Or a McLaren P1.
When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?
Hanging out with friends. Me and my friends love to go out and eat or play pickleball
What is your favorite football memory to date?
Kicking my 38 yard field goal in the section championship against Wilson last year. It showed coach believed in me and I redeemed myself because I did horrible pregame.
What is your favorite play to run?
Our surprise onside kick where we break the huddle and just kick it. We get to rush fir the ball and hit the guys in the way.
What scares you the most?
Not living up to my full potential. I want to be great and I want others to be great and I see the greatness in myself and others and I want to get there so badly.
Music of choice:
1990s-2010s alt indie rock or some punk in there too. That’s my jam. I like country too but more in the summertime.
What is the most food you ever ate in one sitting?
Going to Buffalo Wild Wings endless boneless nights and eating like 40 wings or something crazy like that. And I had fries. And I got a take home slice of cake. It was a rough night.
What restaurant is your go to when you need a big meal?
I can always count on chipotle to fill me up and with their new honey chicken it’s so good.
What is your favorite vacation destination?
The beach with my family. We always have a great time and it’s great to see them all together.
Do you remember what the first football game you saw was?
Broncos beating the panthers in Super Bowl 50 with Peyton Manning at quarterback. I really only remember it because my family loved the broncos I still don’t know why but my family was excited about Peyton Manning winning.
