Battle of the Braves – Octorara wins, 35-0 over rival Pequea Valley PHOTO GALLERY

On Saturday morning, the Battles of the Braves played out at Octorara’s Gene Davis Memorial Field. The host Braves ran a clinic on the visiting Pequea Valley Braves. Amassing a 21-0 halftime lead and reaching a running clock early in the third quarter.

Mekhi Murray would amass three touchdowns on the day. On runs of 1 yard, 1 yard, and 3 yards. Quarterback Braeden Wood would start the scoring on the day with his own one yard touchdown run. The scoresheet would end with Colton Focht’s 15 yard touchdown scamper to the right side. Setup by an interception setting up the short field.

The game would end on a 4th down goal line attempt by Pequea Valley to squash the goose egg on the scoreboard. However, Octorara would preserve their well earned shutout.
