In 2017 Cade Pribula accounted for over 2,300 yards of offense and 27 trips to the end zone for the Panthers of Central York. He threw for over 1,800 yards and 18 tds, and ran for another 500 with 9 scores. He isn’t your typical D1 recruit, standing at just 6-1, but sometimes the intangibles can overpower the weaknesses. Sacred Heart didn’t think so, nor did Albany. Both extended offers to the Panther signal caller. So did Delaware, and today via twitter, Pribula announced his commitment to Delaware. Pribula joins

We caught up the the Delaware bound quarterback and asked him about his commitment:

WPA: why did you choose The Blue Hens?

Cade: I chose Delaware because of the Coaching staff, facilities and overall opportunity they present academically and athletically.

WPA: who was your biggest influence at Delaware, who recruited you?

Cade: Coach Rocco was a great influence on me. My family and I had a great conversation with him the day he offered me in his office. He is a PA guy and he has believed in me from the beginning. He made it a point to emphasize the fact I am the first and only QB in the 2019 class they had offered.

WPA: what do your parents think of your decision?

Cade: My parents love my decision as much as I do. They are proud of me and I think they are happy I am staying close to home.

WPA: what are they getting in player like you?

Cade: Delaware is getting a competitor. Once I am apart of their program I am going to be all in. I will do anything to help them win their 7th National Championship.

WPA: why commit early?

Cade: I don’t see it as an early commitment. QB recruiting is different from any other position or sport. I feel confident in my decision. I know Delaware is where I want to be so I didn’t feel the need to wait any longer.

WPA: Do you know what you’d like to study?

Cade: Business/Finance

WPA: What do you think is the most exciting thing about Delaware University?

Cade: The most exciting thing about Delaware to me is the tradition, fan base and the direction the program is headed. With or without me Delaware is on the rise to the top again. I am excited to be apart of it.

WPA: How will this affect your play for your senior season?

Cade: I’m still the same player. I feel very secure and confident with my decision, and it feels great to know I will have 4 more years to play the sport I love.

Coach Oswalt: Very excited for him. It was a long process to get to this point. He is the best QB I have had the honor of coaching. Looking forward to watching him continue to grow throughout his senior season. A lot of great things to come!
