West Perry (10-1) @ Lancaster Catholic (9-1) Friday – 7:00 pm

The Mustangs are coming into the Semi-Final round off a win over Bermudian Springs. The high flying offense, led by quarterback Marcus Quaker, is averaging a respectable 39 points per game. His 1,500+ yards and 12 tds in the air combined with nearly 1,100 on the ground with 16 scores lead the way. Brad Hockenberry brings over 1,000 yards and 16 scores to the weaponry the head coach Bob Boden has to employ. Ian Goodling is a threat to catch the ball at any time and is also money when the ball needs to get over the goal post. Defensively the Mustangs employ a tackle by committee process. Cody Erno, Goodline and Jenson hockenberry-Folk lead the way for a defense that allows 20 points per game. They’ll need to slow down a Crusader team that is also capable of scoring points. They average 39 as well. For the Crusaders, its a pretty even split offensively but look for quarterback David Stefanow to throw when he has a chance. He’s got 1,226 yards and 12 tds so far. On the ground it’ll be Elijah Cunningham with 1,636 yards to go with 27 scores. Brandon Way is a capable two punch with nearly 700 yards and 8 scores.  This game has all the makings of a high scoring event.

Schuylkill Valley (9-2) @ Wyomissing (9-1) Saturday – 1:00 pm

The Panthers are coming off a comfortable 42-21 win over Littlestown, but now they face a rested perennial powerhouse in Wyomissing. With the Spartans, you have to try and stop that running game. It’s a tough offense to stop. Chase Eisenhower, Justice Hardy, Marvin Armstead, Drew Forrey and Derek Macrina have all run for over 300 yards. Quarterback Logan Hyde isn’t held back either. He’s thrown for 568 yards and 7 tds. Princeton commit Ryker Jones is a threat on both sides of the ball. For the Panthers  Logan Nawocki will need to move his team fast with quick strikes as he won’t get many chances against a team that typical has long, churning offensive drives. Dominic Giuffre and Cooper Hohenadel lead the way on the ground with 1,100 yards and 14 td runs. Altogether, they’ll also need to keep the ball away from a Wyo team that scores 35 points per game.
