District 3 is more than well represented as they land 9 players on the Big 33 roster.  Bishop McDevitt leads the way with 3, Harrisburg has 2, and York Suburban, Dallastown, Central Dauphin East, and Wilson West Lawn each have 1 representative on the team.

Mikey Bentivegna

But it’s York Suburban’s Mikey Bentivegna who makes the biggest splash as he is Suburbans first Big 33 selection ever. Bentivegna, who made the team as a running back, had 2,385 yards rushing this past year and scored 32 touchdowns.  He averaged 9.8 yards a carry.

McDevitt’s reps are wide receiver Tyshawn Russell, offensive lineman Gabe Arena, and defensive tackle Riley Robell.  Russell hauled down 61 passes for 1,334 yards and 22 touchdowns in 2022.  Arena led the Crusaders’ state championship offensive line that allowed them to muster almost 5,900 total yards for the season.  Robell was a beast in the state title game against Aliquippa.  Riley registered 68 tackles in 2022, with 26 of those being tackles for a loss.

One of Harrisburg’s Big 33 representatives is defensive end Terrell Reynolds, who had 113 tackles, 32 tackles for a loss, and 22.5 sacks.  The other Cougar player on the team is outside linebacker Amir Jones.  He had 86 tackles in 2022, 4 interceptions, and a pair of fumble recoveries.

The other three players are:

Dallastown’s Kenny Johnson, Johnson, picked as a WR, caught 42 passes for 724 yards in 2022.  He also scored 9 TDs which includes returning kicks.

C. D. East’s Vincent Carroll-Jackson. Carroll-Jackson is going to be on the Big 33 defensive line.  He registered 50 plus tackles with 20 of those being for losses.

Wilson West Lawn’s Cameron Jones. Jones is a speedy defensive back that sticks to receivers like glue.  He can also play offense if need be as he averaged 9.1 yards a carry in 2022, running for 978 yards and scoring 17 TDs.
