If I had to summarize the game I watched tonight in one word, it would be WOW.  The Steamrollers of Steelton-Highspire  suffered their first defeat in 716 days.

The rollers began this contest living up to their nickname. Yahmir Ceaser would cash in on a 52 yard  run via a broken play.(6:19 1st PAT good). Steel-High was able to get the ball back again after a Wyatt Ehrenzeller fumble deep in the Indian side of the field and cashed in making it 14-0 before some fans had even found their seats.

Then the fickle mistress known as momentum reared its head soon thereafter. Jaishawn George was galloping down the sideline about to extend the Roller lead to three possessions when he fumbled out of the back of the endzone. Juniata would end up having to punt on the ensuing, but they stymied a Roller trick play the next drive, putting them in the drivers seat at the Steel high 26. Wyatt Ehrenzeller barrelled in from 1 yard out and with Lane Peiper picking up the spare the Indians found themselves down six headed to the break.

Coach Kurt Condo on halftime “They had a lot of confidence and momentum in their favor, so I didn’t have much motivating to do”.

The Indians got back on the board early in the third quarter and QB Wyatt Ehrenzeller would hook up with Connor Boreman for a 9 yard score. The next Indian series came on the heels of a 4th down stand and Juniata would proceed to score in two plays to open the 4th quarter. The first was a 90 yard run from Lane Peiper followed by a 10 yard TD scamper from Ehrenzeller.  “Yea it was pretty cool. I love runs like that because I just get to lower my pads and do what I do best, be physical” said Ehrenzellar. The Indians would tally one more score late as Javy Lopez carried a few Rollers into the endzone. (3:03 4th).

Coach Condo on the secret to his teams success, “Good old fashioned caveman football. We couldn’t really get a read on these guys coming in , because the film we saw was against a struggling team. But yea this group never doubted themselves ,they came to play tonight and I’m happy for them

Lane Peiper on his performance and the game: “I had a good game , but most importantly we got some of our confidence back after last week and we’re playing great”
