Mechanicsburg Rolls over Greencastle-Antrim 48-0 @GoMechanicsburg @GCASDathletics

Micah Brubaker carries.

Mechanicsburg’s running game was hitting on all cylinders tonight.  Senior QB Micah Brubaker ran for 223 yards and 3 touchdowns, and RB Taylor Shearer ran for another 127 and 3 touchdowns as the Wildcats amassed 453 rushing yards in a 48-0 win over Greencastle-Antrim at Mechanicsburg’s John H. Frederick Field.

The Wildcat defense also came to play, allowing only 57 yards of total offense for the visiting Blue Devils.

Brubaker scored on runs of 8, 60 and 72 yards, as the Wildcats scored 35 points by half-time for the second week in a row.

Shearer scored on runs of 12, 12 and 52 yards.

Sophomore QB Seth Brubaker scored on a 41-yd run in the 4th quarter to round out the scoring for Mechanicsburg.

With two kickers out this week, Senior Drew Engle stepped up and hit 5 of 6 extra point attempts.  Sophomore Dominic Zeno added another extra point after Seth Brubaker’s score in the 4th.
