PIAA Class 1A State Playoff Quarter-Final
Northern Lehigh Bulldogs(12-1) vs Steelton-Highspire Rollers(11-1)

LOOK OUT! This game features a team that’s large and forceful on the line going against a team that is athletic and fast. It’s power vs. speed. Run vs pass. This game, on paper, has the potential to be a great game.

For Steel High, Alex Erby leads the way having thrown for over 2000 yards, completing 30+ for td. If you’re going to stop the Roller passing game, you’ll need to find Durrell Ceasar and blanket him. The 6-1, 170 pound WR just finds ways to get open and plays much taller than his frame. Running the ball for the Rollers, Ronald Burnette is hitting his stride. This Roller hits the hole like a rocket so if you don’t stop him there you may not stop him at all. Jakai Noss and Jaeion Perry compliment Burnette well. Steel High has racked up over 1800 yards on the ground. The Erby’s, Alex, lineman Andrew and dad/head coach Alex wrapped up the Mid Penn all star vote by garnering top honors. The Rollers line, led by Alex, is a tough group that will have to play well against a Bulldog team that can move the line.

The Bulldogs come right at you. Their offense is a run heavy, pound and ground machine that has churned up over 3,500 yards on the ground and made 51 trips to the endzone that way. Nick Frame is a dual threat behind center. He’s thrown for 1100 and run for nearly as many, scoring 20 times for the Dogs while becoming the first Bulldog to rush and pass for over 1000 yards. AJ Jimenez-Wilttong will also see the ball in his arms to add to his 800+ total yards as will Izaiah Ramos, Jack Tosh and John Abidelli. All three have over 300 yards. Defensively the Dogs are aggressive and have 40+ tackles for loss. Wittong, Austin Smyth and Landon Moll lead the way.
