Stone Saunders & Company lead the PA 4A Writers All-State Team

Bishop McDevitt HS in the state capital has 5 players who were honored with PA 4A All-State honors voted on by Pennsylvania Writers. Junior QB Stone Saunders (Kentucky commit) was named co-player of the year along with Junior RB Tiqwai Hayes of Aliquippa HS (Committed to Penn State). Saunders threw for 3522 yards & 56 touchdowns this season along with rushing for an additional 3 scores. Tiqwai rushed for 2129 yards & 26 TDs for the state champions. Other McDevitt players honored were Sr. Athlete Chase Regan who recently signed with James Madison University. He caught 44 passes for 1066 yards & 14 TDs. He also added a defensive touchdown via an interception return. Senior WR Rico Scott caught 86 passes for 1353 yards & 23 TDs. He also added a score via rushing and kickoff return. Other District 3 players honored were Manheim Central QB Zach Hann (2872 yards & 39 TDs), Manheim Central Senior WR Aaron Enterline (80 receptions, 1508 yards, 25 TDs, 5 interceptions with 2 returned for TDs). Other Barons honored were Sr. DB Bode Sipel & Sr. Athlete Brycen Armold.
