Coach Leigh Bonczewski: Billy is a returning 3 year starter on the offensive and defensive line. Led all defensive linemen in tackles last year and was the team leader in QB hurries. Strongest player in program history. 2nd team NTL small school DL last year. Team Captain. 2024 team captain

Why do you play football?

I love the game, the battles in the trenches.

Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?

Cam Heyward because he plays sideline to sideline and through the whistle every play.

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:

Making a TD saving sideline tackle where I hit the RB so hard that his helmet went flying.

What was last years season like for you?

As a team there was a learning curve with new coaches and playbook but we adapted. Individually I improved over my freshman and sophomore seasons.

What are your goals for this coming season?

As a team, to make a run in the playoffs. Personally I want to get stronger and faster to improve my technique.

Who is the best player you ever lined up against?

Ken Hampe from Muncy. We’ve known each other for a while through lifting and every play is a battle.

What stadium, HS/college/pro would you love to visit for a game?

The Horseshoe at The Ohio State University

What is your favorite Pro team, any sport?

Pittsburgh Steelers

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?

Any game the Steelers beat the Ravens

Describe what the perfect teammate is

The perfect teammate has a great attitude, gives 100 percent effort in practice and games and does what’s best for the team. They are all in.

Tell everyone why you think football is good for a community

Everyone puts their differences aside to support the team.

Name one thing that you’d love to do in football that may never happen?

Play fullback on a goal line score.

Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like? WHY?

My dad because he taught me to keep working at what I want to accomplish and to never quit.

Preseason Two a Days are: 

Great for bringing everyone together as a team.

When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?

Anything outdoors, hunting and fishing.

What is your favorite football memory to date?

Winning the Super Bowl with the Jr. Rangers.

What is your favorite play to run?

Power on offense and a slant on defense.

Anywhere with a bass pond.
