Jed brings experience and talent to both the Ol and DL. He is a smart strong athletic player . He quietly leads by example and understands the importance strength and conditioning. Jed is a great student and person on and off the field with loads of potential. He will certainly be the guy up front on both sides of the ball that will help to build a dominant front.
Getting to Know Jed
What is the biggest difference you have learned from playing High School Football in Indiana compared to playing in Pennsylvania?
One of the big things getting used to is the weather. It sounds kinda funny but it does get a lot colder out here which can be a good and bad thing at the same time. I think overall the level of competition out here is just a slight bit higher but that also could just depend on the area I’m in now or was in Indiana
What are your personal goals for the season as well as the goals you have set for the team?
I want to get a jacket which means we’d either win the NTL or the District or we win both and I get to 2 jackets
What was your favorite and least favorite part of the 2022 season?
My favorite part was just being a really solid team with an awesome group of guys to play and getting to know them all better. My least favorite part would probably be how our season ended losing to SC that badly.
Who has been the best player you have ever faced, along with the team he played for?
I’d probably say Davion Hill from Loyalsock last year he was just super athletic and shifty which made him hard to tackle.
With this being your final season of high school football, have you found yourself preparing any differently?
I think I’ve been preparing the same physically but more mentally just realizing that this is the last time putting on pads in high school forever and realizing that I’ll never have this opportunity again and just trying to the best of my last go around in high school.
What has been your best moment as an athlete?
Probably when my old baseball team went to the state championship that was a lot of fun.
What has been your most embarrassing moment as an athlete?
I did shoot at the wrong goal when I used to play basketball in 7th grade luckily I missed
You play both football and baseball. Of the two sports, which one do you feel you are better at?
I would probably have to say football just because it comes more naturally to me
Tackle, Defensive tackle, and Defensive end. Of the three positions you are listed as playing, which is the hardest to prepare for? Explain?
Probably tackle because you have to know all of your assignments and preparing to go against your opponent the whole night
After the season is over, what would it mean to you to have earned an invite to the Big-33 game or the East vs. West game?
I think it would be really cool to play with, against all those talented players from across the state
Of all of the road games you have played in, which stadium has been the best to play in, along with what made it so good?
I would probably say when we played bald eagle last year just because it was the first game of the season with a new team and the fact that we weren’t supposed to win but we did anyway
Who is the one teammate you lean on when you need help with football-related things?
I would probably say anyone on our O-line just because I know that they’ll help me become a better player just by going against them in practice every day.
Where is the best spot in town to grab a meal?
Probably Vinnies pizza because they have really good pizza and Strombolis
Who is your favorite athlete?
I’d say Anthony Rizzo because he’s a big left-handed first baseman like me
What was the last book you read?
The death of a salesman
