LET’S GET TO KNOW KARSON DOMINICK

Why do you play football?

I play football because it has been around me since I was young and I love the sport.

Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?

I am a big Joe Burrow fan. He has an incredible arm and is a gamer. I love the way he plays.

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:

We were playing at home this year and we had 2 penalties in a row so we were backed up to the 3 yard line and I got pressured right away so I rolled to my right and threw it deep downfield. It was a 97 yard touchdown!

What was last years season like for you?

It was a very fun year for me even though it didn’t go the way I imagined. We were all kind of new to everything. We got some new coaches and players and it was a big learning curve for most of us. We did make playoffs this year but we have a lot of work to do before next year.

What are your goals for this coming season?

I’m excited to get to work with the guys in the summer. My goals for this upcoming year is to have a great season and make the playoffs and win many playoff games.

Who is the best player you ever lined up against?

There have been many players I have played against that have been great but the one that was the best was Mason Imbt. He played D line for Troy and he was a monster. He sacked me my sophomore year and I felt it for a couple of days.He was always one to avoid when scrambling.

What stadium, HS/college/pro would you love to visit for a game?

I would love to visit Alabamas stadium and facilities. I think it would be a very cool experience.

What is your favorite Pro team, any sport?

The Giants have been my favorite football team since I was young.

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?

I think the coolest game I’ve ever watched was a game in 2016 when Texas tech and Oklahoma played. Patrick Mahomes and Baker Mayfield battled it out and it was just and incredible game to watch.

Describe what the perfect teammate is

I think a perfect teammate is someone who would do anything for you and then them tell you what you are doing wrong just to help the team. Someone who is considered a perfect teammate is somebody who gets along with everyone and is invested in what everyone has to say.

Tell everyone why you think football is good for a community

I think football is great for the community because it has a different feel than any other sport. The atmosphere of it is like no other. Everyone in the town comes to support our games. Football is like a big family. Football in my town brings everyone in the community together and let’s them all enjoy something they like.

Name one thing that you’d love to do in football that may never happen?

I would like to play WR for a play. I think it would be cool and something different.

Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like? WHY?

I have many mentors but the one that stands out is my Dad. He will do anything for me and is always there for me. It doesn’t matter if we have to leave the house at 4:30am for a football workout, he will be there. He has many skills that have transformed over to me and he has Made me the man I am today. I’m very lucky to have such a great mentor like my dad and I appreciate him very much.

What is your favorite practice drill? What is your least favorite practice drill?

I think my favorite practice drill had to be Offensive individuals because it gives me time to be with my QB coach and allows us to bond and makes me a better QB. I don’t have a least favorite drill, I think all drills benefit me and I will try my hardest in every single one.

Preseason Two a Days are:

Very important. They drain us but they are very needed. I think they are a great bonding session for all types of kids. They are definitely tough but if you want to be a football player you have to be able to go through two a days

Is there anyone in your family, besides your parents, you could consider your biggest fan? Who, Why?

My grandparents,Siblings, and Girlfriend are very big supporters and I appreciate them.

When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?

I love to fish and hunt and every time I’m not playing sports I’m outside doing those things.

What is your favorite football memory to date?

My favorite memory is beating Wellsboro this year and winning the Morty trophy. It was a huge win for our team and it always feels great to beat our rival school.

What is your favorite play to run?

I don’t have a favorite play so I would say any play that we are going to pass.

is a hot dog a sandwich?

No. I would say a hotdog is more of a taco than a sandwich. It has bread on the sides and the meat in the middle. It’s definitely not a sandwich.

Music of choice:

I love all different types of music and will listen to anything.

Best thing you ever got from a teammate? Why?

Their time and hard work

Best Pizza topping?

Pepperoni

Which one? Sheetz or Wawa

Sheetz

What is your favorite vacation destination?

Beach. I love the beach,it’s such a calm and amazing place. It’s always warm and exciting.
