The 2021 PIAA Playoffs are in full swing and this week is round two for the District Four playoffs. Last week there were some close matchups and teams such as Jersey Shore and Southern Columbia that showed why they are ranked the number one team in their classification. Heading into round two there are some really strong matchups and a few games to keep on your radar as we head into the weekend.

Starting with single-A the District Four Championship will be a game between number one ranked Canton and number two ranked Muncy. Canton comes into the championship game with a 10-0 record and a bye week for the first weekend of action. For Muncy, a close round one victory over Montgomery 14-13 should have the Indians on edge as they face the number one ranked team. However, in the PFN rankings, Muncy is still ranked number one in Pa in the single-A classification.

The first game for the bracket in double-A is a matchup between Southern Columbia Tigers and the South Williamsport Mountaineers Saturday night. The Tigers are coming off a dominant 62-14 victory over Line Mountain and continue to stay strong after losing to Wyomissing earlier in the year. The Tigers are proving why they are the number one seed in double-A. For the Mountaineers they come off with an impressive 36-7 victory over Wellsboro. The Mountaineers will look to take down the Tigers and advance to the championship game in which the winner will face either Mount Carmel or Troy.

The Mount Carmel Red Tornadoes and the Troy Trojans will face off Saturday night at Mount Carmel. The Red Tornadoes are coming off a 54-13 victory over Bloomsburg. The Trojans are coming off a close victory over Sayre 20-6. The Red Tornadoes are ranked number two and the Trojans are ranked third.
