The athletic departments of the Lewisburg School District and the Selinsgrove School District have come to a cooperative agreement to allow Lewisburg Varsity Football’s home games to be played in Selinsgrove’s Harold L. Bolig Stadium for regular season play in 2020.

This agreement became necessary as Bucknell University had canceled all High School use of Christy Matthewson Stadium after the Patriot League canceled their 2020 fall sports season.

“We are extremely thankful for the support of the Selinsgrove School District’s board of directors, administrators and athletic director for recognizing our need and supporting us in securing a consistent location for our home football contests,” Lewisburg Athletic Director Joe Faust said. “While 2020 has proven to be less than ideal to interscholastic athletics, this is a positive for our program as it is nice to be able to provide our players and coaches with a consistent feel for home games. I personally am grateful for the extra efforts and concern Justin Simpson has shown to me while facing this obstacle. This is a huge weight removed from our shoulders!”
