Coach Jeff Urban says “Eli Started on both O and D last year as a sophomore and became a “go to” receiver. Eli has above average athleticism and work ethic for his age. He has the ability to make catches in traffic and break tackles with his strength and speed. He is also a member of the track team. He is a sprinter and long jumper, is successful at both. Here again he is a member of our current sophomore class”.

Why do you play football?

I’ve been playing for ten years and I just enjoy the game.

Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?

Tom Brady because he wasn’t the starting QB in high school or college and made his way to be one of the best in NFL history.

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:

I would have to say the first game of the year against chestnut ridge, i had a pretty nice catch along the sideline.

What was last years season like for you?

It was pretty rough for all of us being a young team and we got frustrated but we all know we are rebuilding and it takes time and effort.

What are your goals for this coming season?

come together as a team and win.

Who is the best player you ever lined up against?

there are some really talented kids from richland and bedford that ruffled my feathers.

What stadium, HS/college/pro would you love to visit for a game?

Alabama university.

What is your favorite Pro team, any sport?

Pittsburgh steelers

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?

i always loved watching alabama and clemson playing because it was very competitive.

What would you do to improve the recruiting process?

try to get my name out there and get to know coaches.

Describe what the perfect teammate is

someone who’s always eager to win and annoying and supportive

Tell everyone why you think football is good for a community

it brings people together and fun to watch

Name one thing that you’d love to do in football that may never happen?

go to college for football.

Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like? WHY?

Dave Polcha because he knows what he’s doing and he doesn’t care what people think.

What is your favorite practice drill? What is your least favorite practice drill?

my favorite is INDY D, my least favorite is any back pedaling.

Is there anyone in your family, besides your parents, you could consider your biggest fan? Who, Why?

my teammates, we all support eachother and help eachother out.

When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?

fishing or hanging out with friends.

What is your favorite football memory to date?

last year when coach let us play in a JV game.

What is your favorite play to run?

either a jet or a deep pass

is a hot dog a sandwich?

no it’s a hot dog

a drink of water.
