Berlin and Portage clashed tonight in a week 6 showdown which whoever wins claims the WestPAC. Berlin and Portage started off strong on defense, delivering turnover on downs and stops. Berlin tried going down the field but couldn’t convert on 4th and short for three straight drives.

The mustangs offense couldn’t do anything also as they would fail to punch it in. The first points of the game didn’t come till the last 30 seconds with Berlins Quarterback Will Spochart connects to Wide receiver Tuck Hillegass in the back corner of the end zone to make it 6-0, the extra point was blocked. After the half Berlin came out rolling scoring on their next 2 possession to make it 20-0. Berlins defense would force a couple turnovers including a fumble and a interception! Portage just couldn’t get it going offensively as they failed to score on every stop the mustangs defense did against the Berlin offense.

In the end between two of the best in the WestPAC Berlin wins 30-0 against the Mustangs and have won the WestPAC. Portage will battle Windber next Friday and as for Berlin they’ll find out Sunday night if they will face an opponent next Friday as they currently have a bye week.
