Tonight the Bishop Guilfoyle Marauders (1-1) were defeated by the Penn Cambria Panthers during their home opener and Senior Night, by a score of 27-14. Minor injuries and tough moments plagued the Marauders tonight, and things didn’t get easier with the bad breaks. However, they did get off to a solid start, with Karson Kiesewetter’s 43 yard touchdown, to take an early 7-6 lead. Haiden Garner also added an impressive touchdown catch in the second half. However Penn Cambria prevailed in the second half of play, after the Marauders struggled in the run game. The Marauders suffer a tough loss, their first on the season. They play the Richland Rams, a major rival, next Friday at Richland.
