Can you tell us what makes going to and playing for Bellwood-Antis is so special?

Playing for Bellwood is so special to me because the community and fans at Bellwood love football. You can’t compare the support we receive on Friday nights to any other team.

As a two-way lineman, what is your biggest strength?

Aside from physical strength, which is a definite advantage of mine, my biggest strength is my knowledge. My background of football and playing no other position but lineman makes me the player I am.

Which line is harder to play and why?

Offensive line is definitely harder than defensive line. There’s a lot of things that you have to do right to make the offense run smoothly. If you get beat in the hole, and the pocket collapses that’s on you. The guy next to you can’t always back you up. On defense, you got 10 other guys on the field to help if you get tied up in the trenches.

This is your senior season are you approaching it differently from past seasons?

Not at all. I have always worked hard and played all out. I leave everything on the field. If anything is different about this season it is how I will savor the final moments of high school football.

You guys seem to do nothing but win football games. What will it take to run the table this season?

It takes a lot of hard work. All of our key players work hard outside of football. You have to put in extra work on your own. That means hitting the gym, practicing technique, and studying film like crazy during the season.

Which team do you enjoying beating the most?

Hands down Tyrone. The rivalry between us is unmatched by any other team. The game is always the most physical and intense. It’s also the season opener, walking away with a win and a trophy to start the season is a huge confidence booster.

Football or Wrestling which do you enjoying competing in the most?

Football has my heart, but I enjoy competing in wrestling more than football because it’s all on you when your on the mat. You can be a good player on a bad team and lose football games. While in wrestling you can be as good as you want. You can go as far as you take yourself.

How important if at all will it be to be invited to play in an all-star game after your senior season is finished?

Playing in an all-star game is very important to me. It’s a fun way to possibly close your career if you don’t play college ball. If you get knocked out in the playoffs it gives you one last chance to end your high school football career on the right foot.

What are your plans go as far as college is concerned?

I will definitely go on to play college football if an offer I think worth accepting comes. I would major in some area of business. If no offer comes, I would be alright possibly not going to college and starting my dream of my own family business, possibly in the metal or demolition industry.

What is your favorite class?

My favorite class is probably math. I like math because it’s challenging and I’m pretty good at it.

Have you ever been to a division three college game?

No, I haven’t been to division three football game.
