Head Coach Justin Wheeler says “Ryan brings an unrivaled amount of speed and agility to the team while at the same doing all the little things correct that win games. He also bring 3 years started including 1 game on the biggest stage in the state, the 2021 State Championship game. On the defensive side, he is able to lock down any receiver he is lined up against through using elite technique and ball skills. Using that skill set, no receiver caught a ball on him through 7 games and 12 targets. This season he will use those skills and his 4.6 speed to be a big part of our offense at TB and WR as well”.

LET’S GET TO KNOW RYAN

Why do you play football?

I play football for the relationships and lifelong bonds you build with your peers. Football is also a premier way to build leadership skills and learn how to overcome adversity which all of us will face at some point on or off the field.

Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?

TJ Watt. I love how he plays with a high motor and some of the biggest plays he makes are purely because of his relentless hustle.

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:

When my teammate picked off the Juanita valley QB in the d6 championship to add a perfect ending to the historic comeback.

What was last years season like for you?

Last season was going great through the first 7 games until I unfortunately broke my foot and had surgery on it. In the 7 games I played in i did not allow a single completion on 12 targets (2 of the games were against D1 QBs).

Improve as a leader and win a d6 championship

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?

The D6 championship 2 years ago. The game was a testament of grit and perseverance. Never once in that game did we think we were out of the game even though we were down by 11 points with 9 minutes left.

My brother Nathan Hagg. He is an exponential leader who graduated from West Point and is someone I can talk to about life, football and just have a good time with. He also is great motivator and knows how to get the most out of me.
