Head Coach Tom Smith says “Eli is a growing 3 sport athlete. He is going on 6’3 200+. He has tight end skill but has converted into an offensive tackle for the team’s sake. A weightroom warrior, Eli has made tremendous gains and has potential to have serious next level looks over the next two years”.

Why do you play football?
I love the game and the toughness to it, my dad played and his dad played and so did his.
Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?
I would say my favorite football star would be ray lewis, I loved the edge he played, the toughness he carried with him, and of course the hits he would lay.
Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:
My favorite play was probably my first high-school sack that I got this year. It was also my first game I started and I was playing d end and I ran of the outside and got my first sack.
What was last years season like for you?
It was definitely tough it was my first time starting consistently and the team had a tough time but we put up a couple wins on the board
What are your goals for this coming season?
To be one of the best defensive ends in the conference.
Who is the best player you ever lined up against?
Probably a D1 defensive end from Bg
What stadium, HS/college/pro would you love to visit for a game?
I would love to visit penn state for a game
What is your favorite Pro team, any sport?
I would say the Steelers or the pirates
What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?
I would say my favorite was winking d6 for baseball last year it was one of the best feelings I’ve had
What would you do to improve the recruiting process?
I would say try to put my self out there more
Describe what the perfect teammate is
A leader,someone who leads by example, someone who picks there head up when there not doing good and cheers on there teammates
Tell everyone why you think football is good for a community
It brings everyone together. I have a bunch of friends from other schools that I play against and it brings us closer, same with my parents.
Name one thing that you’d love to do in football that may never happen?
I would say coach
Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like? WHY?
I would say my dad, he’s the hardest worker I know and is always leading me
What is your favorite practice drill? What is your least favorite practice drill?
I think Oklahomas are my favorite , my least favorite is probably conditioning
Preseason Two a Days are:
A good teambonding experience and will definitely toughen you up for the season
Is there anyone in your family, besides your parents, you could consider your biggest fan? Who, Why?
I would say my uncle Al he always loves to hear about me doing good in sports
When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?
Probably just hanging out with friends because it’s always a go to
What is your favorite football memory to date?
Probably when I first got to start my first varsity game
What is your favorite play to run?
For OL I would say a pull and if I were playing TE I would say a sweep route

No it’s a thing of it’s own

Probably just motivation and always being there for me

Do you remember what the first football game you saw was?
I don’t remember exactly but it was probably 99% a Steelers game probably
