LET’S GET TO KNOW CRAIG
Why do you play football?
It’s such a complex sport it makes it fun because there is so much to learn and do. The physicality is also a big part and I love it.
Since you’re now committed, are you preparing for the season any differently
No just keep working
Why did you commit early?
I didn’t
Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?
Jason kelce because of his work ethic and ability to lead a team.
Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:
Every play is my favorite but if I had to chose one it would probably be my first ever catch at wide receiver. I ran a cross route straight up the seam attacking the inside foot of the safety as he vacated his zone my quarterback threw a perfect ball and I caught it over my head for a first down and gain. It was the play I knew I had what it took to be that guy on the field.
What was last years season like for you?
Last year was a great year as I got closer with my teammates and grew with everyone as brothers. Also it was the year I was able to prove everyone that size is just it’s own thing and you can be good at football without having that dream build.
What are your goals for this coming season?
My goals for this season is to be the best leader but also a great follower who learns and grow and hopefully have my own plaque in our school case.
Who is the best player you ever lined up against?
The best player I’ve ever lined up against was my own teammate Azadio Vargas who would give me the most trouble when getting off the line.
What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?
Game 5 our homecoming game of 2023 because we were 0 and 4 to start off and that was the game that broke the losing streak to lead us to the playoffs.
What would you do to improve the recruiting process?
Send more film out and be more vocal.
Describe what the perfect teammate is
The perfect teammate is one who people gravitate towards but also can learn from. One who makes you feel like a brother, teammate, and opponent all at once.
Tell everyone why you think football is good for a community
Football fields usually have the biggest bleachers for a reason. Football is able to bring families together and everyone on their toes as there is a lot of what ifs in the sport of football. Most importantly is has a connection throughout the players that no other sport has.
Name one thing that you’d love to do in football that may never happen?
a 10 man tip drill and 11th man takes it in for a touchdown.
Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like? WHY?
I would say the person I want to be like the most is not just one but everyone who has ever lead me throughout the way of my football career and I aspire to lead and learn.
What is your favorite practice drill? What is your least favorite practice drill?
My favorite practice drills are the ones where the whole team is involved because of the bond and we hold each other accountable. My least would be oaklahoma drills as I always walk out dizzy.
Preseason Two a Days are:
The best and worst. I get to spend an entire day playing football which I can’t be more happy but the second I hit my bed I’m sore and ready to go to bed.
Is there anyone in your family, besides your parents, you could consider your biggest fan? Who, Why?
My little sister, she yells my names and attempts handstands after every snap.
When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?
My go to activities are work so I can improve my work ethic even more and learn more. However I do enjoy disc golfing a lot as well.
What is your favorite play to run?
My favorite play to run is a play where I run a speed out and toe tap the sideline for an easy first down and ten yard gain.

A hot dog is a sandwich because it is a piece of meat surrounded by bread.
