WORDS FROM THE HEAD COACH:

Ty is a 2-time All State football player, he’s been a major part of our team’s success since his Freshman year. Ty is the type of player that wants the ball in those high pressure situations and commands respect from the opponents. He is both an intelligent and fearless player.

GETTING TO KNOW MORE ABOUT TY:

What is the best part of being a student-athlete at Northern Cambria High School ?
The best part of being an athlete is getting to play multiple sports with my friends and making memories that I’ll keep forever.

How long have you been playing football(any level) ?
Since 4th grade.

Of all the road games you have played, which stadium had the best overall atmosphere, along with what made it so good ?
Either Mansion Park for our District 6 title game cause it was our first in school history or, Cambia Heights because, it’s our rival and is always packed.

If the game is on the line, do you want to be on offense or defense ? Explain:
I would rather be on defense to make a big stop.

As an athlete, what has been your biggest achievement ?
Being able to play and win our schools first District title in football.

What was the high point of the 2023 season ?
Beating Cambria Heights in the Coal Bowl.

What are you going to miss the most from the class of 2024 ?
My friends I have being playing with since 5th grade and the leadership they brought to the team.

What are your goals for the 2024 season ?
To get farther than we did last year and make another run for Districts.

Who is your favorite sports star and why ?
Probably Michael Jordan, because of his work ethic.

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most ? Explain:
The first play against Cambria Heights last year. It was an option play and I kept it and ran for an 80 yard touchdown.

Who is the best player(s) you have ever lined up against and what team did they play for ?
There are so many great athletes it’s hard to pick one.

What stadium, (HS/College/Pro) would you love to visit for a game ?
The Big House in Michigan.

What is your favorite Pro Sports team(any sport) ? Explain:
Las Vegas Raiders, has been my favorite team growing up.

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why ?
Probably Cambria Heights in the 2022 playoffs, it was a good game for us.

What sports movie could you watch every day if you had to pick one, and why ?
It would have to be The Waterboy, it’s funny and about football.

Name one thing you’d love to do in football that may never happen ?
Play in a state title game, it’s hard for a small school to make it all the way there.

Name a sport you’d love to play but can’t:
Rugby

What is your most embarrassing sports moment ?
Falling at the state track meet.

When you aren’t playing, practicing, or training for sports, what is your go to activity, and why ?
Fishing or hanging out with my friends.

Which one, Sheetz, Wawa, or Rutters ? Explain:
Definitely Sheetz, it’s the best and the only one around us.

What is your favorite vacation destination ?
The beach.

Tell us something that you have a fear of ?
Losing people.

Favorite Fast Food/Burger place and why ?
Chick-Fil-A, I like the sandwiches.

Have you ever been to a professional sports game, which ones ?
We went to a Steelers game against the Raiders.

NBA, NHL, MLB, NCAAF, NFL, Which league is the best and why ?
NCAAF, it just has a different feel than the NFL.

What is your favorite video game, on mobile and or console ?
Hunter Call of the Wild.

What toppings go on your favorite pizza ?
Pepperoni, Bacon, and Sausage.

Math

Cruise Ship and to any island.
