Why do you play football?
I grew up watching it and it became something I loved growing up and I’ve played since I was 8.
Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?
Lebron James because I was always a big Cavs fan growing up and he was me and my cousins favorite player, hes also the best basketball player of all time.
Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:
My favorite play is definitely my game winning 86 yard touchdown in the first round of district playoffs against cambria heights last season.
What was last years season like for you?
Last season was definitely my favorite season so far, it felt like a fever dream. Started off the best in program history, I cameback off of an injury that held me out of my entire sophomore year so to have an amazing season was amazing and that was definitely the closest I’ve been with a team, I love all of my teammates.
What are your goals for this coming season?
To win the state championship, and break many records not just individually but as a team.
Who is the best player you ever lined up against?
From a Receiver standpoint, Angelo Gulluci from Bishop McCort definitely gave me some problems, and from a cornerback perspective its definitely Kaleem Taylor from Bishop McCort, he didnt play in our playoff game but I guarded him in multiple 7 on 7s, hes tuff.
What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?
Steelers Vs Ravens on Christmas day in 2016 when Antonio Brown reached across the goalline with 9 seconds left to send them to the playoffs.
Describe what the perfect teammate is
A perfect teammate is someone who holds people accountable, shows up, puts in the work, and can be your bestfriend on and off the field.
Tell everyone why you think football is good for a community
Football brings everyone closer together, it teaches you to battle through adversity while making the best memories of your life with the brothers you make along the way.
Name one thing that you’d love to do in football that may never happen?
Have an opportunity to get my school paid for and play at the next level.
Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like? WHY?
The person I want to be like will always be my mom, she perseveres through so much, she is so strong and has taught me everything I need to know in life so everyday I strive to be as great as she is.
What is your favorite practice drill? What is your least favorite practice drill?
My favorite drill is 1 on 1s and my least favorite is inside run
Preseason Two a Days are:
Killers. They are horrible, but they are some of the best times of my life, we go out to camp and the practices suck but the bonding we have there is unlike any other.
Is there anyone in your family, besides your parents, you could consider your biggest fan? Who, Why?
Definitely either my Grandma or my brother Dawson, they always show up and Dawson looks up to me so I try to be the best I can on and off the field to make him a better person. Also my Uncle Ed who passed two years ago, I was contemplating giving up football, then he talked me back into it and hes definitely the reason I still play even if hes watching from above.
When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?
Hanging out with friends, I love to just chill out and be around my favorite people when we arent doing sports together, and sometimes watching love island with my girlfriend.
What is your favorite play to run?
All fades, I love catching the deep balls.
is a hot dog a sandwich? If not, then why?
No its not a sandwich its more like a hybrid but its definitely not a sandwich.
Music of choice:
Really anything, Drake, Ty Myers, Daniel Caesar, Frank Ocean, and Jon Pardi. Those are my top 5 and really all I listen to.
Best thing you ever got from a teammate? Why?
One time my teammate Mike bought me Mcdonalds and it was amazing, nothing beats a Big Mac.
Best Pizza topping?
Pepperoni
What is your favorite vacation destination?
Ocean City, I love the boardwalk it just seens like theres so much to do.
Do you remember what the first football game you saw was?
The first game I remember is Steelers vs Chiefs in 2014 they won 20-12 to clinch a playoff spot.
