Coach Says: Austin is a returning starter on both sides of the ball. He played RB/WR and CB/S last year. He was named to the LHAC all conference team at CB. His versatility will be used in several ways because he will play both QB and RB for us this year. His work ethic, commitment, and positive energy make him unique.
Why do you play football?
I play football, because I love the sport.
It’s gameday! What are you looking forward to the most?
I’m looking forward to the energy of FNL and competing with my brothers.
Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?
My favorite sports star is Jahmyr Gibbs, because he plays with a lot of energy and is entertaining to watch.
Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:
My favorite play I remember most is when I scored against Penn Cambria. It was late in the game and we were down 12-2. The touchdown gave us momentum and we ended up coming back and winning the game.
What was last years season like for you?
Last year’s season was frustrating for me, because I feel that we should’ve been a lot better and went a lot further in playoffs.
What are your goals for this coming season?
My main goal for this coming season is to win the D6 Championship.
Who is the best player you ever lined up against?
Kemon Spell (7on7)
When the game is on the line, which college/professional coach would you like to call in the play?
Bill Belichick, because he is one of the best coaches of all time.
What stadium, HS/college/pro would you love to visit for a game?
Death Valley (Clemson)
What is your favorite Pro team, any sport?
The New England Patriots
What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?
Super Bowl 51, because I watched my favorite team, the Patriots, make the largest comeback in Super Bowl history. It was very inspiring to watch and it showed me that you should never give up in sports.
What sports movie would you watch every day if you had to pick one and why?
Rudy, because it is an inspiring story that highlights the importance of hard work and determination.
If your mom and dad are screaming at you from the stands, what is it they usually yell?
They don’t yell too much, but when they do it’s usually just some title of happy yell.
Name one thing that you’d love to do in football that may never happen?
I would love to break a single game/single season record at my school.
Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like? WHY?
My dad, because he has worked hard all his life and has provided a great life for me. He always focuses on working hard, staying positive, and never giving up.

I dropped a deep ball in a close game.

Golf, because it is fun to be out on the course with friends.

Beating Penn Cambria at home
