Why do you play football?
I consider it the reason I am who I am and extremely thankful for how it’s shaped me
Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?
John Condo, long snapper from Philipsburg who played D1 and went to the NFL. Along with learning more about his journey through speaking with him and advice he’s given
Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:
During the 2025 season while playing Huntington, we just got off a long drive on offense and we were punting it away. The returner couldn’t gain control before our right wing was already there and stripped the ball for me to jump on. Although I was gassed after the offensive drive and the run down on punt. I still remember standing up with the ball in our possession just in time for another long offensive drive.
What was your toughest game in 2025 season?
Greater-Johnstown was a hard fought game on both sides. Both teams faced internal and external adversity and it came down to a field goal and interception. The field goal was a bad snap on my part and our kicker Spencer Althouse managed to throw for a touchdown which got us the lead which was finalized after a interception to win our first of two wins that season.
What are your goals for this coming season?
Play hard and don’t stop unless we’re made to.
Who is the best player you ever lined up against?
I never got his name and I forget his jersey number as well, but the starting nose for Central, week 1, was our first look at a opponent twice our size and we held our own.
What does the word “Coach” mean to you?
Someone who isn’t afraid for their players to complain about the work behind their backs but shows them how and why the work pays off
What if your favorite season of the year?
Fall for sure, football is a great season, minus the weekends after a hard game ending by a brutal monday morning
Tell everyone why you think football is good for a community
A Friday night lights game is not only a chance for students to let loose and cheer on classmates, but also gives alumni and parents a chance to see the younger generations play the greatest sport in the world just as they had watched or played in the past.
Name a football player you’d love to line up against
Anyone who will give me a challenge
Name a football player you’d love to line up with.
Gavin Ryan, a former PV linemen and assistant coach now.
What is your favorite practice drill? What is your least favorite practice drill?
Sumo’s is always a fun way to beat the snot out of each-other. Either that or snapping drills just to enjoy the best position in football. Least favorite is 100% the sled.. ours has busted wheels and hates moving.
What school sport that you do not play in have you supported?
Volleyball student section is better than football half the time I think, either that or wrestling to watch the best wrestlers I know
If you were to inherit 1 billion dollars what’s the first thing you’d do?
Donate towards a new stadium for the school and make sure its named after me.
When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?
Hunting. Best way to escape the world and sit in the woods for a few hours, sometimes I don’t even load my gun and just sit in a tree
What is your least favorite play to run?
Stretch plays have always been an issue for us and i’m always tripping over myself after snapping
First thing you do when you leave the locker room or get off the bus after a game?
Deep breath of the friday night air, smell the old concession stands then just drive home with windows down and no radio to recall the mistakes and accomplishments of the game
Music of choice:
Classic Rock, ACDC or Black Sabbath
Best place in your town to eat after a game? Why?
Right at home or the Frosty Hook
Best Pizza topping?
Meatballs
What is your favorite vacation destination?
Bahamas
If you could attend any sports event for free what would it be?
