Coach Says: Luke returns as a defensive starter and will play OL for us this year too. Luke has been an amazing contributor on and off the field for our program. We are excited to see him have a great senior season.

Why do you play football?

The reason I play football is because I have a genuine love for the game. I’ve played football for my entire life, it really shaped me and who I am today. Some players might lose their spark or lose their love for the game after a while but mine continues to grow no matter what. I don’t know where I would be today without the sport, it’s taken me so far in life. I’ve built so many relationships and connections to many people whether that be at camps or practices with my fellow teammates. We always talk about brotherhood and I truly believe that we are a band of brothers that cannot be separated, through thick and thin we are always there for each other. There are lots of reasons for why I play but the most important one is that I love the game and I love the people I play with.

It’s gameday! What are you looking forward to the most?

I’m looking forward to competing, having fun, and winning. Getting to plays with my teammates and playing as hard as possible every time the ball is snapped.

Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?

Cristiano Ronaldo, he has so much passion, love, and respect for the game of soccer. He loves it and that’s what makes him special. Now soccer and football are different sports but one thing is that we can share the same emotions and feelings about both sports. They are both sports that require a grind and continuous work to get better at. He plays every game like it’s his last and that’s why he is my favorite.

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:

Yes I do, first quarter of the 2024 state championship game we were playing Port Allegheny and they were driving a bit with some momentum behind them. 2 plays before they had drawn a penalty killing the momentum they had then the ripped off a big chunk of yardage with a gain. The next play they dialed up some trickery and ran a reverse, I broke through the line and saw the play unfold as they handed it off I wrapped up the ball carrier and ripped off his helmet while in the act. I brought him down with his helmet rolling away and a huge loss of yardage and a huge momentum killer for them. It was one of the most hype experiences I’ve had in a game.

What was last years season like for you?

It was a battle of ups and downs, dealing with a knee injury was one those things you just have to play through. We had a great year though competing for another state championship but coming up short. I think we proved a lot of people wrong in what they thought about us. But we also proved ourselves right. Last year was a season to remember.

What are your goals for this coming season?

To get back to the state championship, dominate, and enjoy my senior season to the fullest with my teammates one last time. I want to make sure I’m the best leader for them so they know they can depend on me when it gets hard.

Who is the best player you ever lined up against?

Muncy’s Austin Johnson

When the game is on the line, which college/professional coach would you like to call in the play?

In college I’m going to go with Nick Saban and in professional Mike Tomlin

What stadium, HS/college/pro would you love to visit for a game?

I would like to go to Clemson’s Memorial Stadium also known as Death Valley

What is your favorite Pro team, any sport?

Pittsburgh Steelers

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?

When Notre Dame beat PSU in orange bowl. Growing up a ND fan in this area I’ve always listened to PSU fans claim that they would beat ND but that didn’t happen that night watching it with all my friends and their reactions were great.

What sports movie would you watch every day if you had to pick one and why?

Rocky. The Rocky franchise is an absolute classic and legendary series of movies. You cannot go wrong with any of them.

If your mom and dad are screaming at you from the stands, what is it they usually yell?

They don’t really yell but my mom will sometimes let out a “Let’s go Rocco!”

Name one thing that you’d love to do in football that may never happen?

Return the opening kickoff for a touchdown in the superbowl

Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like? WHY?

I would have to say my Dad. He is a strong, kind, and caring. He’s taught me everything I know and I always ask question because I know he’ll give me and answer. He’s taught me right from wrong and good from bad. He taught me everything.

Name a sport you’d love to play but can’t:

Hockey

What is your most embarrassing sports moment?

In wrestling you get humbled really fast no matter who you face. I’ve been pinned in less than 20 before so that’s an embarrassing moment.

If you could only drive one car for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Range Rover

When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?

I like to go fishing, enjoy the outdoors, playing recreational soccer and basketball, cutting grass, and working with my uncle
