A rough night for the Bearcats at War Vets field tonight as Bald Eagle Area came in and dominated from start to finish for a 42-0 victory.
BEA got on the board at the 10:45 mark on a 46 yard pass from Carson Nagle to Gavin Eckley. Nagle then proceeded in connecting with Owen Irvin on strikes of 20 and 62 yards to stoke the Eagles to a 21-0 lead in the first quarter.
A 10-yard run by Chase Thompson and a 1-yard plunge by Chandler Burns in the 2nd quarter pushed the Eagle lead to 35-0 at Halftime.
After a scoreless 3rd Quarter, Nagle connected on this 4th and final touchdown pass of the evening this time on a 25 yard swing pass to Kahale Burns giving BEA the 42-0 victory
Bald Eagle Area racked up 429 yards of total offense in comparison to 29 for Huntingdon. The BEA defense also tallied 13 tackles for loss including 4 sacks. Huntingdon Sophomore Tyler Long collected two interceptions and a pass break-up defensively for the Bearcats in the loss.
BEA moves to 3-1 on the season and Huntingdon drops to 0-4 and have now lost 12 straight games dating back to the 2019 football season. The Bearcats return to action next Friday in a home tilt against Tyrone.
