The BG Marauders took on the Canton Warriors at Mansion Park, and came out victorious by a score of 20-7. The win improves their record to 10-4. BG will advance to Hershey to play in their 2nd state title game in 3 years.

Guilfoyle started out with a 14-0 lead a halftime, thanks to Karson Kiesewetter’s scrambling ability, as he rushed for the first two touchdown’s of the game. The Marauders came out on fire and coming out halftime they continued to have a full head of steam, despite allowing a touchdown in the middle of the third quarter.

However, the defense certainly came to play, and after Canton’s only touchdown began to turn up the intensity. The BG defensive, highlighted by Senior Captain Colin Butler, Anthony Cioffari, and PJ Pullock, Canton struggled to throw the ball all night, which put BG in a great position heading into the 4th quarter.

After running down the clock for much of the rest of the game, the Marauders added another score, which pretty much put the game away. On the ensuing possession for Canton, DB Vincent Cioffari came up with his second game sealing interception in two weeks.

The Marauders will take on Redbank Valley next week in Hershey, in an attempt to win yet another state title.
