Week 1 High School football notes: Penns Valley’s 77 points vs Fairfield is tied for the 3rd most in county history. Their 56 halftime points is a county record for most points in the first half. Aaron Tobias tied Charlie Cowan of BEA for the most touchdown passes in a game with 6. Tobias now has 51 career td passes, 3 behind Tommy Friberg’s record of 54. Jaden Jones has 41 career td passes. Logan Snyder now has over 100 career receptions, joining Bellefonte’s Todd Naylor as the only two receivers with over 100 career catches.

Week 2:

Congrats to Penns Valley’s Aaron Tobias who now holds the county career td passing mark with 57. He has also passed the 5,000 yard mark in his career. Also, congrats to Logan Snyder who has become just the second receiver in county history with over 100 career receptions.

While Penns Valley’s Aaron Tobias and BEA’s Jaden Jones battle for county records in passing and pad their own school records, plus while Logan Snyder is nearing county receiving records, over at Bellefonte CJ Funk is close to setting school records in career rushing yards, td’s, points and all-purpose yards. He should reach all four of those marks in the next two weeks. We wish all these players good luck as they continue to put up great career numbers.
