For the first time in 39 seasons, Bellwood-Antis opened up media day without a coach named John Hayes. For the first time in as long as most can remember, teams won’t have to face a John Hayes coached team. But that’s where the difference ends. Nick Lovrich takes over after being an assistant coach under Hayes since 1998. So while those teams won’t have to face him, they’ll still have to contend with a coach he mentored. Expect the Blue Devils to remain strong and a perennial favorite beyond this year.

The talk among many was it’s a good strong league this year. Teams like Moshannon Valley, Williamsburg, Claysburg-Kimmel and Glendale all have a healthy number returning starters and look to be a strong factor in the final standings. But let’s not debate this here, let’s see what the coaches and players had to say:
