Cresson, Pa – After suffering 2 losses to Central, led by All State QB Jeff Hoenstine, the Panthers were not about to let it happen again and made a statement 42-28 win over the Dragons.

Penn Cambria answered every time Central scored. And Central wasted no time scoring in their first 2 possessions. The Panthers worked a little harder to get down field but they kept grinding and fighting.

Penn Cambria’s Garrett Harrold, who continues to show improvement in every game, refused to go down after taking a hard hit to avoid a sack and hit Luke Shaugis for 35 which tied the game 21-21 late in the 2nd qtr. Harrold passed for 213 yrds throwing two touchdowns and rushed for 117 and scoring twice.

Another big play maker for the Panthers was Zach Grove who rushed for 124 yrds scoring twice in the 4th qtr where the game was decided. Penn Cambria ran the ball for 236 yards compared to Central’s 63 yards on the ground. Hoenstine was 20-for-35 for 290 yards and four touchdown passes.

Despite an impressive first 3 quarters, Hoenstine and the Scarlet Dragons were unable beat the Panthers in the 4th qtr. They fall 2-1 while Penn Cambria jumps to 3-0
