Why do you play football?

Zach: Football forms relationships that aren’t made in any other sport. It’s going through war with your teammates and it creates a family.

Who is your favorite sports star and why?

Zach: Christian McCaffrey. Might be one of the most explosive and impressive athletes in college and hasn’t slowed down for the pros.

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:

Zach: Sack at Leechburg Junior Year. I can’t remember feeling more hyped and full of adrenaline, I felt like I could run through a wall.

what are your goals for this coming season?

Zach: I want to have a season first. And with that, I want to win. We have a lot of talent this year and I won’t see it wasted by anyone.

What is your favorite Pro team, any sport?

Zach: Probably the Pittsburgh Penguins. Not a big hockey guy but they’re consistently a good team and generally have players who are very down-to-earth.

What game, yours, college, or pro, was your favorite game, and why?

Zach: The Imani Christian game my Sophomore year might have been my favorite game. Even though we lost, I had so much fun competing.

What sports movie would you watch every day if you had to pick one and why?

Zach: Hoosiers. The movie never gets old and it’s such a great underdog story.

What cartoon character do you think your head coach most resembles?

Zach: Cornelius from Rudolph

If your mom and dad are screaming at you from the stands, what is it they usually yell?

Zach: “GOOOOOO!!!!!” Usually not too complicated.

Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like?

Zach: My dad

Name a sport you’d love to play but can’t?

Zach: Wrestling

What is your most embarrassing sports moment?

Zach: When I was playing youth baseball, I would close my eyes when I would swing because I didn’t want the ball to hit me in the face.

Is there anyone in your family, besides your parents, you could consider your biggest fan? Who, Why?

Zach: My brother Nate is one of the most supportive people in my life and has always believed in me.

When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go-to activity, and why?

Zach: Listening to music puts my mind at ease and helps slow my life down a bit.

What is your favorite football memory to date?

Zach: The very first game of my freshman year I was put in the game at OLB and got a sack. I was so excited.

What is your favorite play to run?

Zach: Dive or sweep

What scares you the most?

Zach: Losing my family

Music of choice?

Zach: Anything that sounds good.

What was your favorite gift as a little boy? Why?

Zach: Dinosaur toys were awesome. Nothing beats them.

What restaurant is your go-to when you need a big meal?

Zach: Wendy’s
