What does your offense need to improve on from last year?
Balance. Need to run the ball more consistently from week to week, we relied on the passing game too much at times.
We are also working to find things that are kids do well and build around their abilities maybe a bit more then we have in the past.
Number one issue that plagued us last season and really for the first season in a while were turnovers – we turned the ball over way too much, we gave our opponents too many short fields and outright points scored.
Keys to success for the 2020 season:
1. Improve turnover margin
2. Establish a starter at QB – we have a some very promising candidates and very little experience at this position
3. Develop our young and talented receiving group.
4. We expect our offensive line to be good with quality experience returning – they need to be.
5, We need starting caliber play from a stable of running backs.
6. Capitalize on all of our young players who gained valuable experience last year.

What does your defense need to improve on from last year
We feel our defense will benefit by the amount of youth that was forced to play last year. Many underclassman gained valuable experience being thrown into the fire. We are evaluating our structure and blitz packages looking to improve as we feel we can put more on a defense that is returning a lot of kids.
Defense is about alignment and effort – our kids need to be able to play fast – we feel this comes with more experience, excited players and a quality coaching staff. All good defenses stop the run first and tackle well. These fundamental beliefs will continue to be emphasized and improved upon.
Keys to success for the 2020 season:
1. Alignment, Effort, Tackling – gotta do these things well
2, We expect our secondary to be improved
3. We return some very productive players up front – they need to be good.
4. We have to find and establish our two deep at the LB positions – it will be a mix of experience and youth
5. Create more turnovers and negative plays
6. We expect an upgraded pass rush – this needs to be an emphasis
7. Offense has to do their part.
