2020 RECAP

The Chartiers Houston Bucs took their first season moving up into the century in stride, winning 2 of their first 4 in 2020, and nearly stealing one from the Commodores to notch a winning season. Almost all offensive contributors return.

OFFENSE

The Bucs lose their star athlete Jimmy Sadler, who led them to some of their best rushing and receiving performances, however almost everyone else is back. TERRY FETSKO returns at QB and he will bring back a senior laden backfield in NATHAN CAVALLO, TAYVIAN MILLER, and LANE CAMDEN. The offensive line will experience normal attrition, which at a school like C-H might cause problems.

DEFENSE

The Bucs proved in 2020 that their defense could play with anyone not named McGuffey or Washington. A deep and talented line returns almost everyone. TAYVIAN MILLER returns as the leading tackler. There is numbers in the defensive backfield that should make Coach Fetsko feel positively. In all likelihood, Chartiers Houston should be among the most talented and deepest defenses in the conference.

OVERVIEW

The Chartiers Houston Bucs enter 2021 in an interesting position. No one expected the Bucs to have the success they did in 2020, and it will be seen if a somewhat intact returning core can take the next step. The Bucs should have a winning record before a mid-season away date against the Prexies which may be the biggest game of this core’s career. Expect a deep defense to continue to improve against the weaker parts of the conference. The Bucs competed with Charleroi, Frazier and Beth Center last year, and expect that to continue into this season. Depending on what the Bucs do against those three teams, there’s no reason why Chartiers-Houston couldn’t be third in the conference and headed to the playoffs.
