There’s no mistaking this: Cam Lindsey is one of the main reasons the Quips have been to the state title game two years in a row. He’s an explosive player on both sides of the ball. When on offense he’s a threat to move the chains every time he touches the ball. But it’s on defense you’ll see him at his best. His ability to read plays and be where the ball is heading is stellar. He’s a tackling machine. Cam is also a very humble and intelligent person. He’s a two time First Team All conference linebacker and a two time 1st team All-State linebacker. There’s no reason this season won’t equate to “three time”.

Head coach Mike Warfield says Cam is a “team leader, explosive tackler, instinctive football player, hard noser runner, special team player of the year, honor student”.

LET’S GET TO KNOW CAM

Why do you play football?

So my parents won’t work another day and it’s been my first love

Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?

Lebron James because of the way he dealt with all the pressure being on him as a mega star

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:

When I caught a pick 6 in the state championship game in 2021, was a huge momentum shifter at that point during the game which helped win us a state title.

What was last years season like for you?

It was about trying to become the first team in our school to go back to back. Trying to make our own history as one of the best teams ever but also for me showed a lot of growth in my game that not as many recognized

What are your goals for this coming season?

Ultimate goal is to win another state championship wouldn’t wanna finish like we did last year. Also just being the best player that my team needs me to be and for me to just continue to grow

Who is the best player you ever lined up against?

Riley Robel

What stadium, HS/college/pro would you love to visit for a game?

Our new stadium just got finished and I can’t wait to be out there but anywhere to be at for a visit would be a blessing.

What is your favorite Pro team, any sport?

Seattle Seahawks for NFL and Clippers for the NBA

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?

My favorite game would be our overtime game against McKeesport just a back and forth game until the end. Favorite college game was Notre Dame vs Clemson since I got to storm the field which was a fun experience.

What would you do to improve the recruiting process?

Just being patient now seeing my options, if I could maybe just try and get out there some more if I can.

Describe what the perfect teammate is

I would say a perfect teammate would be someone you could call a brother not just on but off the field too

Tell everyone why you think football is good for a community

I feel like football can take the mind off of someone that may not be the best at home right now or a way to change and maybe do something different.

Name one thing that you’d love to do in football that may never happen?

Be the number one pick in the NFL draft

Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like? WHY?

Ray Lewis the way he played on the field is considered one of the best ever and off it he competes and is a great role model to people.

Favorite cone drill we do for defense everyday. Least favorite is anything conditioning.
