“Alex is the most experienced skill player we have. He has shown flashes of what he can bring to the table offensively, especially running jet sweeps. He scored 2 TD’s against Valley and Derry on Jet Sweeps. He’s also our long snapper. Alex is also our boundry CB and matches up against the opponents best WR. Big things expected this year from Alex.”

Let’s get to know a little more about Alex:

Why do you play football ?
I play football because I’ve been around the sport my entire life. My childhood best friend got me into it when I was around 3 and I fell in love with the game. I started to watch it at all levels and also wanted to pursue to play the sport.

Who is your favorite sports star and why ?
My favorite sports star would have to be Jalen Ramsey. He has changed the way corners play and he is a very great player to watch for any defensive backs. He plays with a lot of aggression. Jalen is also a great person off the field as well.

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most ? Explain:
My favorite play would have had to be my first pick-6 my Freshman year versus Burrell. This moment was an eye opener for me. The energy that came from my team and the crowd was unbelievable as every one cheered.

What was last year’s season like for you ?
Last season was very good for me. I was a big part of the team and it felt great to be the reason we got a stop or a quick first down.

Who is the best player you have ever lined up against ?
The best player I have lined up against was Clinton Robinson from Keystone Oaks.

What stadium, (HS/College/Pro) would you love to visit for a game ?
The stadium I would love to visit is Autzen Stadium(Oregon Ducks).

What is your favorite Pro Sports team(any sport) ? Explain:
I do not have any favorite sports teams. I simply like to watch specific players to learn from them rather than the whole team.

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why ?
My favorite game to watch would have to probably be our first game last season versus Leechburg. This game was an old rival game and had a lot of great energy. It was an overall great game to play in.

What sports movie could you watch every day if you had to pick one, and why ?
I would have to choose “The Game Plan” this movie demonstrates how things would interfere in your life and how you can overcome them and still chase your dreams.

Name one thing you’d love to do in football that may never happen ?
One thing I’d love to do is play on the offensive line.

Name a sport you’d love to play but can’t:
One sport I’d love to play is hockey.

What is your most embarrassing sports moment ?
My most embarrassing sports moment would have been when I got mossed in a game.

Tell us something about playing for Apollo-Ridge that stands out, that others may not know ?
Playing for Apollo-Ridge isn’t just about playing, it’s the bond you build with the team and how strong it is.

When you aren’t playing, practicing, or training for sports, what is your go to activity, and why ?
My go to activity has to be either playing video games or kicking back and relaxing watching YouTube.

Which one, Sheetz, Wawa, or Rutters ? Explain:
Sheetz, because I haven’t had Wawa or Rutter’s in my life.

What is your favorite vacation destination ?
My favorite vacation destination would probably have to be when I went to Kalahari for my friends birthday.

Tell us something that you have a fear of ?
I have a fear of heights.

Science

Favorite Band/Musician ?
YoungBoy-NBA

NBA, NHL, MLB, NCAAF, NFL, Which league is the best and why ?
NFL, because it has so many unique things that happen that can alter a teams success or make a teams success better.

Best Video Game Console(XBox/Playstation/Sega/Atari/etc) and why ?
I don’t think there is a best but I prefer Xbox. I think all gaming consoles are equal and have something different.

Airplane, Boat, or Vehicle(motorcycles included), how would you travel and to where ?
I would travel by airplane to Cancun.

Name one thing in life(NOT SPORTS RELATED) you would like to achieve:
I would like to learn how the human body works.

Location you think would be the best place to live(ie: island, mountains, city, etc) ? Explain why:
I think an island would be only because it’s hard to gain access too. As well, it’s an island so you can only use renewable resources saving the environment and Earth.
