LET’S GET TO KNOW DAVID

Why do you play football?

I’ve played my whole life, I truly love the game. There honestly isn’t a day where I haven’t wanted to play or practice football, so to be frank I play football for myself. It keeps me happy and makes life great. Also my dream has always been to play college football so I am working hard to get there

It’s gameday! What are you looking forward to the most?

The opening kickoff or kick return, theres no way to describe how much adrenaline and excitement that brings

Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?

Ladainian Tomlinson, his motivation to play in the NFL and to make his family proud are second to none and his story really motivated me and molded much of my character

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:

Probably my first varsity touchdown, it was the second game of the season, but our first home game so the crowd was loud. It was a counter right and I basically walked into the endzone, and as we were celebrating I jumped up in the air and Chuck Kreinbucher bumped me and I fell on my back. It was a really funny and exciting moment to start my varsity career

What was last years season like for you?

It was a pretty good season but I know I have a lot more to offer this season. Last year was a big leap for me in the receiving game and defensively, I really got better with my tackling and overall play. I improved a lot as a player and stepped up into the leader role, but I was also moved around a lot position wise, where the last few games I played OLB so it was a little difficult.

What are your goals for this coming season?

I want to get a lot more college attention, and I want us to win the D10 championship. Personally, I want to have 1000 all purpose yards, 10 touchdowns , and I would like to double my picks and tackles.

Who is the best player you ever lined up against?

Tyree Alualu, he is the running back for North Allegheny and he currently has multiple P-5 offers

What stadium, HS/college/pro would you love to visit for a game?

Notre Dame, that’s my dream college and the atmosphere at their stadium is crazy

What is your favorite Pro team, any sport?

I may get called a bandwagon for this but I am a Lakers fan, always been a fan since I was a little kid

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?

I watched the Steelers vs Bengals a couple years ago, which was hype because I saw Juju hit Vontaze Burfict and take him out

What sports movie would you watch every day if you had to pick one and why?

Any Given Sunday , the intensity and rawness of the movie is awesome and of course the all star cast tops it off

If your mom and dad are screaming at you from the stands, what is it they usually yell?

my grandma likes to yell kill, my mom usually yells my name and my dad doesn’t say much

Name one thing that you’d love to do in football that may never happen?

throw a touchdown pass

Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like? WHY?

I want to be like my dad, he has pushed me through everything and taught me how to be the man I am becoming. He has been through so much but has still persevered and succeeded.

Name a sport you’d love to play but can’t:

Basketball, I am not too bad but I could never play competitively or for an actual team. I am a pickup demon though

What is your most embarrassing sports moment?

Freshman year I got a pick and had an open lane to run through for a like 60 yard pick six and I slipped after like 5 yards

Is there anyone in your family, besides your parents, you could consider your biggest fan? Who, Why?

My grandma. She has supported me through everything and even when I feel like there is nobody she is still there next to me

When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?

I would have to say playing video games, I play on my computer a lot and I play with my friends almost everyday. My close second would probably be fishing
