Let’s get to know Dylan

What’s it like having gray turf to play on?

It’s pretty cool and unique.

In the beginning, was it weird having stands on just one side of the field?

Not really, I’m used to the stands being on one side.

After watching your HUDL highlights and seeing McGuffey play, you have a lot of power that might shock some. Where does that power come from, along with some of the things you do to possess it?

I just make sure to give every play my all and to be as physical as I can when I get the football. I also work on my explosiveness and strength a lot over the offseason.

Which side of the ball do you prefer to play on? Explain.

I prefer the offensive side of the ball mostly because that’s where I played mostly last season.

The Highlanders had a good season, finishing 8-4, including a playoff win. What will it take to have a better overall record this year and a deeper playoff run?

If we just play together and use our ability we can for sure go farther.

What are your personal goals for the season?

I don’t have any specific goals regarding my rushing numbers, but one goal I have is to improve in everything I do.

After the season is over, how much would it mean to you to earn an invite to the Big 33 team or to the East vs. West All-Star game?

It would mean so much because it’s an opportunity to show what I can do.

Which game are you looking forward to most this season?

The schedule is loaded with exciting games, but I’d have to go with either Keystone Oaks or Sto-Rox

What did you learn from the 2022 season that you can use this year to be better?

I need to get stronger if I wanna be great.

Looking back at only the road games you have played, which stadium had the best environment?

Definitely W, mostly because of our fans of course.

Where should the state finals be held?

Penn State

Do you feel that you and your teammates are role models to the young kids who come and root for you?

Yes, I would say so.

If you could pick one new team for McGuffey to play for, who would it be, along with the reason you picked that team?

Trinity, just a close school and old rival.

What is your favorite genre of music?

Country

If you could go back in time and live in any time period, when would it be?

Probably the 90s.

What is your favorite meal?

A good steak with fries.
