Why do you play football?

I play football because of the family atmosphere it builds and the love I have for the sport.

Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?

Joe Burrow because he is calm under pressure and has a great work ethic.  He seems to be a good teammate and gives his best effort on every play. 

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:

Beating West Allegheny in overtime to get a home playoff game and get 3rd in the section was the best moment.

What was last years season like for you?

Last year’s season helped me grow as a QB and a leader for the team.  As a group we overcame adversity and got better each week. 

What are your goals for this coming season?

My goals for this coming season are to finish top in the section and make a big run in the playoffs.  A personal goal is to get first team all conference QB and 2,000 passing yards. 

Who is the best player you ever lined up against?

The best player I ever lined up against is Benny Haselrig from Hampton. 

What stadium, HS/college/pro would you love to visit for a game?

Ohio State’s Stadium

What is your favorite Pro team, any sport?

Pittsburgh Steelers

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?

Playing Hampton in the first round of playoffs last year was my favorite game I watched because it was an exciting game with a lot of big plays. The ending of the game was crazy and my team won on the last play of the game.

Describe what the perfect teammate is

The perfect teammate is unselfish, hardworking, and respectful. They give their full effort on every play and always have your back.

Tell everyone why you think football is good for a community

Football is a good community because of the brotherhood that is built through the hard-work and resilience of the players.

Name one thing that you’d love to do in football that may never happen?

Returning a kickoff for a touchdown

Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like? WHY?

Coach Lou Cerro is my mentor and I want to be like him because he is well known and respected in the football and athletic community. Also he has made a positive impact on many athletes’ lives.

What is your favorite practice drill? What is your least favorite practice drill?

As a QB my favorite drill is the trash can drill where I work on end-zone fades by trying to make the pass into the trash can placed in the back corner of the end-zone. My least favorite drill is Inside Run drills.

Preseason Two a Days are:

Challenging, fun, and a good bonding experience.

Is there anyone in your family, besides your parents, you could consider your biggest fan? Who, Why?

Yes, my twin sister is my biggest fan and supports me at all my games.

When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?

My go to activity is lifting because it helps me gain confidence and take my mind off of things.

What is your favorite football memory to date?

My favorite football memory to date is beating West Allegheny last year.

What is your favorite play to run?

My favorite play to run is Waggle Play Action pass.
