OFFER SHEET: Toledo, Upenn, Princeton, Holy Cross, Lafayette, Duquesne

Beckham Dee’s offer sheet started to fill up this January when Toledo gave him his first offer. Four other schools have since jumped on the Dee train. His skills as a linebacker are hard to ignore. He’s got a quick burst, and a nose for the ball. Once he touches the runner, there’s little chance of escape. Look for Beckham’s offer sheet to continue to grow, and if he has a good summer, the FBS teams won’t be able to stay away.

New head coach Mike Collodi says “His leadership is a characteristic that I noticed immediately on my first day on the new job. His 4.8 GPA and 6’1” 220lb make him an ideal ILB and H-Back. His physicality and knowledge of the game make him a big time player”.

LET’S GET TO KNOW BECKHAM

Why do you play football?

I play football because I have fun playing the game, and I love playing for my teammates, school, and community.

Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?

My favorite sports star is Russell Westbrook because of the way he plays the game. He plays with high confidence and energy every game of the year. He embraces criticism and it makes him a better player/competitor.

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:

My favorite play was the last play of defense my sophomore year during the state championship game. Being on the field with my teammates knowing that we had just secured a state championship win for our community and school was a special feeling that I will never forget.

What was last years season like for you?

Last years season was very disappointing as we finished 5-6. Although we fell short of our goals as a team, I feel that it helped me develop greatly as a player and a leader.

What are your goals for this coming season?

Winning a WPIAL championship is the goal every year and anything short of this is considered a disappointing season.

Who is the best player you ever lined up against?

The best player I have played against is Peter Gonzalez from Central Catholic.

What stadium, HS/college/pro would you love to visit for a game?

I would love to visit Michigan for a game because of the gameday atmosphere. The energy that the crowd of over 100,000 people brings seems like a great experience.

What is your favorite Pro team, any sport?

My favorite team in all sports is the Pittsburgh Steelers.

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?

I love watching our state championship game because I’m really proud of that accomplishment. I really enjoy watching our team come together to compete and win.

Name one thing that you’d love to do in football that may never happen?

I would love to play in the NFL

Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like? WHY?

My mentor is my Dad because he is a very hard worker and a great person.

When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?

I love watching movies and golfing in my free time.

What is your favorite football memory to date?

My favorite football memory is winning the state championship.

What is your favorite play to run?

I love running power or counter.

Which one? Sheetz or Wawa
