Logan Kushner saw a very successful 2022 season come to an end against state semi finalist State College. It wasn’t for lack of his effort. Logan made several key plays in that game, as he did all year. His pocket presence is solid. He doesn’t make many mistakes, only throwing four interceptions in 149 attempts vs 12 td throws. In his career he’s thrown for over 2,000 with 21 td passes. Head coach Art walker says he’s a  Leader, Smart, Calm, Competitive & Driven”.

Let’s get to know Logan!

Why do you play football?

I play football because I love the game and the friends and memories that come with the sport. I have met so many people and made lasting memories with my teammates, but the best thing about football is the feeling you get every Friday night when the game starts.

Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?

My favorite sports star is Patrick Mahomes because he plays with a style unlike any other quarterback and it’s entertaining to watch his unique play.

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:

My favorite play that I remember is my go-ahead touchdown run in the WPIAL championship game, because it was one of the best feelings of my life. Seeing all the fans and my teammates cheering was special.

What was last years season like for you?

Last years season was a bit of a rollercoaster because I fractured my collarbone during the midpoint of the season, but overall we made progress from the previous year, winning the WPIAL championship for the first time in a decade.

What are your goals for this coming season?

For this coming season, my goals are for the team to go beyond what we did last year and make a run a the state championship. Our team is happy that we won the WPIALs, but now that is the standard, and the expectation is that we go beyond that.

Sonny Styles- Pickerington Central

What stadium, HS/college/pro would you love to visit for a game?

Seattle Seahawks stadium

What is your favorite Pro team, any sport?

My favorite pro team is the Steelers. I’ve grown up a fan of them and have went to many games with my family and friends, so it’s fun to watch the hometown team.

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?

My favorite game I watched was the Steelers vs Ravens Christmas game, because I enjoyed watching the game with my whole family on a holiday.

What would you do to improve the recruiting process?

To improve the recruiting process, I probably would get myself and my film out to more coaches.

Describe what the perfect teammate is

The perfect teammate is someone who will push you to be your best version, and understands what will get you motivated. They also should be able to joke and have fun to make the game more enjoyable.

Name one thing that you’d love to do in football that may never happen?

I would love to play a game at Acrisure Stadium.

Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like? WHY?

I aspire to be like any NFL quarterback, because I want to be able to impact other people’s lives while also playing the sport that I love.

What is your favorite practice drill? What is your least favorite practice drill?

My favorite practice drill is 7on7 and my least favorite is tacking drills.

Draining.

When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?

My go to activity is driving with my friends, because it is relaxing and doesn’t take much effort or planning.

What is your favorite football memory to date?

My favorite football memory is winning the 6A championship, because all of our team’s hard work paid off.

What is your favorite play to run?

My favorite play is anytime we throw the ball deep downfield.

Best thing you ever got from a teammate? Why?

The best thing I ever got from a teammate is a pair of cleats, because it helped me get through the season without having to buy any new pairs.

Best Pizza topping? 

Bacon

What is your favorite vacation destination?

My favorite vacation spot is Disney world because of all the different parks and the atmosphere
