“Keegan has every quality his father had/has. He is the silent leader in school and on the field. His teachers compliment his in-class behaviors and his leadership in the classroom. They also are very complimentary about his embracing all kids in the school and making sure they are part of the bigger, positive school culture. His grades are also impeccable. ”
The 2023 Titans are currently being led by Keegan Smetanka at the quarterback position who is following a very familiar path the Shaler Area Community has seen before. One of his counterparts, Brandon London, Tight End/Defensive End is the nephew of Carl Seidl, running back of the 94 Titans alongside Bryan Smetanka. Brandon is one of the top tight ends in the WPIAL with 31 receptions for 442 yards with 4 TDs(one of which was a game-winner in a heated double-overtime victory on homecoming against Franklin Regional. Brandon was 4th overall in the conference.

What made you want to play Football?
I played as many sports as possible as a kid, and football was one of them. I would play flag football all the way up until 5th grade. Then, finally my parents let me play tackle football and fell in love with it ever since.
Favorite athlete and why?
Patrick Mahomes because he’s fun to watch and the throws he makes are unbelievable
What Play in your career do you remember the most? Explain it:
When we were in double overtime with Franklin regional and we scored another TD. Then we decided to go for the win and go for 2. So I rolled out and through a jump pass to my tight end for a homecoming win.
What are you looking forward to this year?
Just the success as a team that we will have. We all have high hopes for this year.
Was football always your first choice of career? If not football, what?
Football and basketball were tied up until my sophomore year.
If you could have dinner with anyone, living or dead who?
I would love to have a dinner with Kobe Bryant. Just to hear all of his crazy stories. Also to learn about his “mamba mentality”.
What was a defining moment of your career?
Probably the game where I started in the second half of my Freshman season. I think I threw for 200 some yards with 3Tds in that half.

Probably my first ever home-run in little league baseball.
What do you think the meaning of life is?
To live every day to the fullest. Don’t take anything for granted!
Who was the most challenging player to play against, and why?
Ryan Palmeri because he was a hawk at free safety that made it hard on our offense.

Summer
Biggest Fear while playing
I don’t have any fears when I’m playing
