Coach Says: Max is a two year letterman returning at Quarterback. He was an Honorable Mention All Conference Selection last season in AAAA. He’s been running my offense since he was in 7th grade. He has a great handle on what we do and how we operate. Max has had a tremendous offseason and has gotten bigger and stronger and has really grown into a leadership role on the team.
Why do you play football?
for the LOVE of the game. It’s in my blood. With my dad and grandpa being coaches, I’ve grown up on a sideline.
It’s gameday! What are you looking forward to the most?
Being out there with my team representing our school and community.
Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?
Josh Allen. He’s the QB of my Favorite team the Buffalo Bills. I respect the player and man that he is on and off the field.
Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:
My two point conversion pass to Ethan Rouleau to take the lead against Fox Chapel in the final minute of the game.
What was last years season like for you?
It was a challenge. I was new to Knoch last season moving in from another school. It was our first year as a new program and we had growing pains, but we defiantly learned from last year and have grown tremendously as a program this offseason and are really looking forward to this year.
What are your goals for this coming season?
to be conference champs and prove everyone wrong
Who is the best player you ever lined up against?
Kemon Spell
When the game is on the line, which college/professional coach would you like to call in the play?
Curt Cignetti or Dan Campbell because they are both fearless and roll the dice
What stadium, HS/college/pro would you love to visit for a game?
University of Tennessee’s Neyland Stadium
What is your favorite Pro team, any sport?
Buffalo Bills
What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?
NFL the AFC Divisional Round last year, Bills vs Ravens in the snow with the Bills winning 27-25
What sports movie would you watch every day if you had to pick one and why?
I’d actually watch Friday Night Lights the TV Show
If your mom and dad are screaming at you from the stands, what is it they usually yell?
Well my dad is my Head Coach and he just yells at me all the time!!!!
Name one thing that you’d love to do in football that may never happen?
Win the State Championship
Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like? WHY?
My Dad. He’s a true leader and motivator. I’ve seen the positive impact he’s had on his players my whole life
