Baldwin Highlander DB Connor Lavelle made his choice. Lehigh is the place he wants to play his college ball. The speedy DB fits the mold, has the speed and talent to make an impact for the Hawks in a hurry.   He made his announcement today on twitter:

We asked him about his commitment:

PFN: How long have you played football?

Connor: Since the 6th grade

PFN: Why did you choose to commit to the Hawks?

Connor: It was just the right fit for me. Checked off all of my boxes and love everything about it

PFN: Why commit early/commit to them?

Connor: I didn’t want to waste anymore more time. I knew this is where I wanted to spend the next 4 years

PFN: Who was your biggest influence at Lehigh, who recruited you?

Connor: Coach Dimike has been nothing but great towards me. Great recruiter and even better person

PFN: What are they getting in player like you?

Connor: Non stop motor and a kid who just loves the game of football

PFN: What was the recruiting process like for you?

Connor: It was stressful at times but I took nothing for granted. Definitely an amazing experience

PFN: How did the Covid 19 pandemic affect your decision?

Connor: I couldn’t go to any visits or camps so everything had to be online

PFN: What position were you recruited for?

Connor: Safety

PFN: Do you know what you’d like to study?

Connor: Business

PFN: What role did your parents play in your decision?

Connor: They were there for me at every step of the way

PFN: What do you think is the most exciting thing about the Lehigh program?

Connor: Just the future in general. The program is headed in the right direction

PFN: What are you most looking forward to while playing for the Hawks?

Connor: Just joining a family inside and outside of the game

PFN: Tell everyone out there in the football world something they’d never know about you until you told them:

Connor: Football was never really my #1 sport until my Sophomore year. I always loved basketball and baseball

PFN: Who is the person who most influenced you in your football career?

Connor: My grandpa

PFN: What is it you’d like all your high school teammates and fans to know about your decision that you might have a hard time saying in person?

Connor: I’d just like to thank everyone in the Baldwin community. They are nothing but great people.
