Imagine if you will, a 6-1, 248 pound running back charging through the line at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse New York. Orange coach Justin Lustig must have. So did a whole host of other schools including Pitt, Kentucky, Coastal Carolina and more.  But it was the Syracuse Program who will get to see that image in color, on their field. Late Monday night Beaver Falls running back Josh Hough let the world know via twitter that it was his decision to attend Syracuse after his senior season:

We caught up with Josh to ask him about his decision, his experience as a football player and more.

PFN: How long have you played football?

Josh: Since I was 4

PFN: Why did you choose to commit to the Orange?

Josh: I was impressed with the school and the coaching staff when I visited

PFN: Why commit early?

Josh: I know Syracuse is the school for me and I have the support from my family

PFN: Who was your biggest influence at Syracuse, who recruited you?

Josh: Coach Lustig was the first coach I had contact with, I also talked with Coach Lynch. Coach Babers talked a lot about the importance of family, that had a lot of influence on me.

PFN: Who was your biggest influence in the Orange program?

Josh: Really everyone I met when I visited

PFN: What are they getting in player like you?

Josh: Speed, strength, and hard work

PFN: What was the recruiting process like for you?

Josh: It was a lot of fun, hearing what different schools had to offer as far as academics and sports was great. I met a lot of great coaches.

PFN: What position were you recruited for?

Josh: Running back

PFN: Do you know what you’d like to study?

Josh: I’m interested in sports management.

PFN: What role did your parents play in your decision?

Josh: My parents wanted to be sure that I was making my decision to commit early for the right reasons, but they left the decision to me and supported me 100%

PFN: What do you think is the most exciting thing about the Syracuse program?

Josh: The fans. The atmosphere there is unmatched

PFN: Tell everyone out there in Orange Land something they’d never know about you until you told them:

Josh: Not sure how to answer this, but I would like to tell them I can’t wait see y’all!

PFN: Who is the person who most influenced you in your football career?

Josh: My dad, he got me started and taught me a lot about the game

PFN: What is it you’d like all your high school teammates and fans to know about your decision that you might have a hard time saying in person?

Josh: That I root for them the same way they’ve rooted for me. Everyone’s success makes me happy.

PFN: Did the current situation with COVID19 and the possibility of camps not happening affect your decision?

Josh: No. I was partial to Syracuse from the start, they were always at the top of my list
