The quarterfinal matchup between the Penn-Trafford Warriors and the Upper St. Clair Panthers was a tale of two halves, with Penn-Trafford winning 31-7. The only score of the first half was from a field goal from sophomore Nathan Schlessinger.

However the second half was very exciting with 35 points combined points between both teams. The first score of the second half came from Upper Saint Clair when junior Ethan Dahlem forced his way into the endzone from the one yardline to give the Panthers a 7-3 lead. The Warriors took 13 seconds to respond when junior Ethan Carr raced to the endzone on the ensuing kickoff to make the score 10-7. Penn-Trafford’s defense stepped up and junior Nate Frye intercepted a pass to return the possession to the Warriors. Senior Gabe Dunlap then ran into the endzone to extend the Warriors lead to 17-7 after three quarters.

Dunlap continued the Warriors scoring trend by finding Carr for an 18 yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter to make the score 24-7. After a fumble recovery by senior Sam Fanelli, Dunlap broke the back of the Panthers by racing 73 yards to make the final score 31-7. Upper Saint Clair finishes the season 7-5 (4-3) and fourth in the Allegheny 8 conference. Penn-Trafford advances to the semifinals against Peters Township at 7 at a location that is to be determined.
