Penn Hills Athlete Julian Dugger announced yesterday on Twitter that he’s going to take his football talents to Pitt when he finishes high school. We caught up with Julian and asked him about his decision.

Why Did you decide to commit to Pitt before your senior season started?

It’s home, everything is here my family and my support base. I also feel like Coach Cignetti could really develop me as a QB

Who is your biggest influence at Pitt? Who recruited you?

It wasn’t one person, everybody on the staff was reaching out looking out for me.

What are the Panthers getting in a player like you?

A great player who puts in the work to be great and will keep working.

What was the recruiting process like for you?

It was really slow but I’m happy I got this opportunity at the end of all of it.

Do you know what you’d like to study when you get there?

Playing in front of my family.

I can cook.

Who is the person who most influence you doing your football career?

My brothers and my dad.

What would you like to say to all your teammates friends and fans and family?

I really appreciate all of them and couldn’t do any of this without them being by my side.

Why do you play football?

It’s the game I love and U get the opportunity to do it for a living and put my family in a better position while doing it.

What would you do to change the recruiting process?

I wouldn’t really do anything to change it, I really just trusted the process.
