McKeesport bests Belle Vernon to win the 2023 Gold Bowl: Photos and Highlight reel

This past Saturday Belle Vernon hosted its annual Gold Bowl where seven different WPIAL teams competed against each other in seven-on-seven competition.

The day started off great for Belle Vernon team A as Quinton Martin participated in this year’s battle at the beach.

Connellsville came out throwing 30+ yard passes and proved to be effective, while Yough found themselves always close in every game they played.

A team that played really well was McKeesport. Despite losing a lot of senior talent from last season the Tigers showed they have some great depth players that can make an impact on the field such as Anthony Boyd and sophomore TE Mike Sapos.

And in the end Mckeesport would defeat BV team A to win the 2023 Gold Bowl, with Anthony Boyd being named defensive MVP and QB Brady Easton the offensive MVP.
