In some talk leading up to Friday nights game between OLSH & Fort Cherry some in the football world thought this match up would come down to which teams skill players would make more big plays when push came to shove. Little did they know those pushes and shoves all belonged to the OLSH offensive & defensive lines as they took control of the game up front on both sides of the ball after a scoreless 1st half.
The guys up front on both sides of the ball controlled both sides of the line of scrimmage in the 2nd half only giving up 6 points to a Fort Cherry team that has no shortage of fire power on their own offensively, or big play makers defensively. Led by players such as Gavin Tonery (6’4 270lb), Al Magnelli (6’1 225lb), Ryan Farrell (6’3 280lb), Dion McIntosh (6’4 285lb) OLSHÂ scored on four of their five 2nd half possessions to to remain unbeaten on the season with a 27-6 win. With the win OLSH remains unbeaten at 4-0, while Fort Cherry slips to 3-2 overall. Both teams face another huge task this coming week as OLSH will host a 3-1 Rochester team, while Fort Cherry returns home as well as they host a 2-3 Northgate team – both critical games as each are still chasing playoff spots as each enter the 2nd half of their season schedules.
